Instructions:
Make The Card:

Make The Paper Strips. Measure and cut your 3 strips of scrapbook paper to fit the length of your blank card. Play around with layering and color until you are happy with your design. Attach with glue.

Add Embellishments. Once all pieces are dry, add your embellishments. For this card we tied a piece of jute cord around the card and added some forest animal themed buttons for a gender neutral baby design.
Make The Magnetic Frame:

Prepare The Frame. Cut out 2, 4”X4” pieces of scrapbook paper. Take one of the 4” x 4” scrapbook paper pieces and cut out a 2.5” x 2.5” square from the center. This will serve as the front of your frame.

Make the Frame Pocket. Place the cut-out frame on top of the second 4” x 4” piece. Apply glue along only three edges of the frame piece (left, right, and bottom), then press them together to form a pocket. Leave the top edge open. Let it dry completely.

Decorate the Frame. Add your embellishments to the front of the frame. You can glue on jute cord, buttons, patterned paper, or any other decorations you like. Allow everything to dry thoroughly.

Add Magnets. Flip the frame over and attach 1–2 magnet strips to the back using strong adhesive. Let dry.
Tips:
-If any of your buttons or embellishments have a shank (the loop on the back), clip it off with nail clippers or wire cutters so they lay flat when glued.
-Send a post card photo announcement at a later date, so people can cut out the baby’s picture to slide into their magnetic frame.
